The Doctor has taken to altering his personality subroutines using data from famous historical personalities, which leads to rather interesting and unexpected results. It also allows Robert Picardo to flex his acting muscles again. The Doctor is always good for an interesting episode every time he tries to "improve" himself. Meanwhile Kes is contemplating leaving Voyager to be with someone she has romantic feelings for. The two parallel story lines intersect in a somewhat violent way, which turns the story into a investigative mystery in the second half.
